My Uncle T-5 George Chandler (341st General Service Engineer Regiment) was killed when the Remagen bridge gave way March 17, 1945. I have no information as to what outfit he was attached to when this happened. After all my research I cannot come up with this information. I think he was operating a crane at the time of the collapse. Can anyone help?

I have also been told that the names of all who died on this bridge have their names on a plaque in the museum. To date I cannot confirm this either. One day I hope to visit for myself.

    Thank You,

    Parker
